Professor who decided it would be cheaper than to send his two kids to US on F-1 visas
He was an economics professor at a well-known college, who wanted to send his two kids to United States to study. However, after having calculated the estimated school expenses, including tuition for private schools, travel expenses, etc., he decided that he could actually save money by immigrating to the U.S. and sending the kids to decent public schools. Also, immigrating to US did not seem all that bad, once he realized he wanted to get out of teaching.
He filed his Regional Center EB-5 case in 2003 involving a well-known restaurant in Philadelphia, and has already gotten his I-829 approved; and he and his family members all are now permanent residents.
