USCIS/CSC and Department of State, time to time, have meetings with AILA or Regional Center Stakesholders to provide answers on, and to clarify, various EB-5-related questions. Recently, CSC has begun an initiative to have regular "open meetings" to answer questions. In this section, relevant portions of those Minutes concerning EB-5-related information, and when applicable, the entire Minutes, will be uploaded below in chronological order.

Nov. 19, 2008 CSC & AILA Liaison Meeting Agenda: CSC said that expedited processing requests of I-526 case will be considered in case one of the following factors exist:

  • Severe financial loss to company or individual
  • Extreme emergent situation
  • Humanitarian situation
  • DOD or national interest situation
  • Service error
  • Compelling interest of the Service

However, at the CSC EB-5 Forum meeting on March 16, 2010, CSC made it clear that no expedited request will be entertained which is based on the general need to get the fund released from the escrow as soon as possible.
